Meet Dr. McCloy

Ryan McCloy, d.m.d.

Dr. McCloy is a native of the Mt. Pleasant area. He received his dental degree from the University of
Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2015. After graduating from Dental School, Dr. McCloy
completed his internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and residency
training at West Virginia University.

Dr. McCloy has been active in research with UPMC Heart, Lung and Esophageal Surgery Institute
(HLESI) with the focus on Esophageal Cancer data management. The department of Cardiothoracic
Surgery uses advanced diagnostic and surgical techniques to treat diseases like congestive heart failure,
congenital heart disorders, esophageal cancer, and lung diseases.

Growing up, Dr. McCloy has always had a passion for dentistry and giving back to the community. He
organized and volunteered for several nonprofit groups: Oral Cancer Stair Climb, Diabetes Expo, Special
Olympics, Virginia Special Olympics Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile Day, Highlands Hospital 5k
Walk/Run, Central Blood Bank, Relay for Life, Overly’s Country Christmas, YMCA-Tree Planting and
Garden Restoration. Dr. McCloy resides in Harrison City, Pennsylvania, with his lovely wife, April and
two energic sons, Calvin & Murphy.
