Dr. Christian Moore is a native of Bucks County Pennsylvania. He attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a minor in environmental studies. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa as well as the Sigma Xi scientific research society and participated in research in organic chemistry making several presentations at local and national meetings and publishing in a national peer-reviewed journal. After college, Dr. Moore received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2013 with a passion for oral and maxillofacial surgery. He received the Delaware Valley Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Excellence Award and ultimately matched at the University of Pittsburgh where he began his residency in 2013.
Dr. Moore received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017, where he was also inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Moore completed an internship in General Surgery in 2018. During his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery he worked at UPMC Presbyterian/Shadyside, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, and the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center.
During his training at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Moore received extensive exposure in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery including third molar (wisdom tooth) removal, comprehensive reconstruction and bone grafting, dental implant surgery, treatment of oral and maxillofacial pathology, facial trauma surgery, TMJ surgery, orthognathic surgery, and intravenous/general anesthesia. He also participated in research on resorbable metals giving several abstract presentations at national meetings. Dr. Moore considers it an honor to have worked and trained under some of the leading names in oral and maxillofacial surgery today.
Dr. Moore is proud to join the Facial Surgery Center team in 2019. In addition to his private practice, he also serves as faculty where he trained at UPMC teaching residents. He has grown to love Western Pennsylvania during his time in training and is looking forward to all of the opportunities the area has to offer. His hobbies include running, cooking, travel, and watching ice hockey and football.
